Costa Neuporte, a senior-living community in Costa Mesa, has new ownership and a new name.

After being owned and managed by a private family trust that built the complex in 1990, Washington, D.C.-based Capital Seniors Housing purchased it in July. The sale price was not disclosed.

The complex, with 148 one-bedroom units at 2283 Fairview Road, has been renamed Fairview Commons.

It has been managed since July 27 by MBK Senior Living, according to a news release.

Representatives of Irvine-based MBK said they are implementing their company’s signature dining and recreational programming for the residents. They also plan building renovations for next year.

Fairview Commons is open to people 62 and older. It offers both independent and assisted living.

“For more than seven years we have entrusted MBK Senior Living to manage several of our properties,” Scott Stewart, managing partner for Capital Seniors Housing, said in a statement. “In that time, they have consistently provided operational excellence, professional and compassionate staffing and outstanding care for residents and families.”

Capital Seniors also owns the Crown Cove senior facility in Corona del Mar.
