Former Rustler in MLB All-Star Game

Former Golden West College baseball standout Chris Devenski will represent the Houston Astros on the American League squad in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game tonight in Miami.
Devenski, 26, a first-time All-Star, is 6-3 with three saves in 35 appearances this season. He has allowed 30 hits, walked 14 and struck out 74 in 52 2/3 innings. Opponents are batting .160 against him and his 74 strikeouts lead all MLB relievers.
Devinski played shortstop and was the Rustlers’ No. 1 starting pitcher in 2009 and 2010.
