Dominick Harris makes All-San Joaquin League boys’ basketball team

Sophomore point guard Dominick Harris, playing for Pacifica Christian Orange County High during the 2017-18 season, garnered first-team All-San Joaquin League boys’ basketball honors.

Harris, who transferred to Temecula Rancho Christian for his upcoming junior season, averaged 24.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game this past season. He has committed to Gonzaga.

Harris, along with sophomore guard Josh Sims and senior center Josh Griffith, both second-team members, helped the Tritons (11-16, 4-4 in league) place third in the league and reach the CIF Southern Section Division 5AAA playoffs. Pacifica Christian lost 73-61 at Perris Orange Vista in the first round.

Saddleback Valley Christian senior guard Jonah Tolmaire was named the San Joaquin League Player of the Year, and Saddleback Valley Christian’s Tom Lewis was the Coach of the Year.
