Newport Harbor clinches share of Sunset League girls’ tennis title

The Newport Harbor High girls’ tennis team clinched at least a share of the Sunset League title after beating visiting Huntington Beach 14-4 on Tuesday.

Nicole Knickerbocker swept in singles for the Sailors (14-2, 8-0 in league), while Rachel Davis and Avery Wooden swept in doubles. Lauren Richter and Keilani Lee each won a singles set.

The Sailors can clinch the outright league title with a win at Fountain Valley on Thursday.
