Brand Boulevard Block Party debuts in support of culinary arts
Brand Boulevard between Colorado Street and Caruso Avenue was closed for several hours on Saturday for a block party that featured local eateries and entertainment.
It was the first year for the event.
A portion of the sale of tickets — which ranged from $50 in advance to $60 the day of the event — will go to Careers through the Culinary Arts Program, or C-CAP, which provides scholarships, education and career opportunities in the culinary arts for at-risk high school students throughout the country.
