Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital welcomes letters of intent

Share

Local nonprofit organizations may submit letters of intent for the annual Dignity Health Community Grants program, which earlier this year awarded $101,000 to four organizations.

The program, sponsored by Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital, awards funds to provide services to underserved residents including the poor, women and children, and the mentally or physically disabled, according to hospital officials.

According to the most recent local Community Health Needs Assessment, the top health concerns include obesity, mental health, diabetes, alcohol and substance abuse, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, cholesterol, disability and oral health.

Grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 will be awarded to qualified nonprofit organizations. Letters of intent must be submitted no later than July 14, hospital officials said.

“Glendale Memorial Hospital feels so privileged to partner with like-minded organizations who are equally dedicated to serving the individuals and families in our community,” said Rev. Cassie McCarty, director of mission integration and spiritual care services for Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Grant applicants may download the form at dignityhealth.org/glendalememorial.
