Volunteers invited to help tend Experimental Forest

Share

A work day at the Experimental Forest in the Verdugo Mountains will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Participants should meet at the intersection of La Tuna Canyon Road and Hostetter Fire Road, near the Foothill (210) Freeway. From there, participants will carpool up the Hostetter Fire Road because travel on it requires high-clearance vehicles.

Once at the forest, participants will water trees, remove weeds around plants and plant some new pine trees.

Everyone should wear sturdy shoes and protective clothing.

Space is limited, so reservations are required by calling (818) 548-3795.
