A Glendale liquor store owner was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly exposing himself to a customer who came in to buy a lottery ticket, police said.

Shortly after 12:30 p.m., the customer, a 44-year-old woman, greeted the man behind the counter of Broadview Food Mart when suddenly, he lifted his shirt and exposed his genitals, which he placed on the counter in front of her, according to Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

The man, identified as Riad Masoudi, then allegedly made some explicit comments to the woman before she left the store, located on the 3500 block of North Verdugo Road, and called police.

Masoudi, who turned 65 two days after the incident, was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure.

Over the weekend, community members on social media described having similar incidents with store’s cashier, William said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
