Celebration of life slated for former community development director
A celebration of life for Hassan Haghani, who spent more than a decade serving in various planning capacities with the city of Glendale, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The celebration will be held at Brandview Collection, 111 E. Harvard St., Glendale.
Guests can arrive at any time. They are asked to not wear black nor bring flowers, according to celebration organizers
Haghani died unexpectedly last week. He was 58.
According to a city of Glendale biography, Haghani began his municipal career in 1989 with the Los Angeles Planning Department. He then spent seven years with the city of West Hollywood, where he became a senior planner.
In 2003, he was hired by Glendale, where he was named community development director in 2010.
He later resigned his Glendale post to become executive director of the Planning and Building Agency for the city of Santa Ana, and he was named development director of the city of Ontario last August.
