Mailbag: Americans should remember Martin Luther King Jr.

Share

As people of the United States of America, we owe it to the individuals who have stood up before us and those who have sat down for their rights.

When we yearn for the thoughts of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we reach for courage, hope and desire that when the time comes, we will be able to stand up and speak with thunder in our voice and lighting in our words, speak the truth and spark a tide of welcoming kindness towards our loved ones, friends and most importantly those “others” we share the bond of humanity with.

On this day. the words of Dr. King will ring high and mighty, and truth will never hide but, share it far and share it wide for the silent truth hides out pride.
