Residents may see and hear an increase in police activity over downtown Glendale’s airspace on Wednesday as officers will spend several hours training with the department’s helicopter.

The training will last from 8 a.m. to noon as the officers familiarize themselves on how to deploy from a helicopter.

Sgt. Dan Suttles, a spokesman for the Glendale Police Department, said the helicopter will travel to several helipads in the downtown area for the exercise.
