Authorities hope the public can help identify a trio of burglary suspects who reportedly smashed the window of a vehicle parked at the Crescenta Valley Family YMCA and stole a purse last month.

The smash-and-grab occurred on Jan. 16 around 11:15 a.m. when a vehicle entered the YMCA and cruised around the parking lot before stopping next to a vehicle, according to Tahnee Lightfoot, a spokeswoman for the Glendale Police Department.

For the record:

3:20 p.m. Feb. 27, 2018The YMCA where the alleged smash-and-grab occurred is the Crescenta Valley Family YMCA, not the Glendale YMCA.

She said the car’s driver then smashed the other vehicle’s front passenger window and took a purse that was inside.

Credit cards from the purse were then used at a Target in Eagle Rock.

The driver of the vehicle is described as white or Latino, 25 to 35 years old and around 5 feet 10. He is said to have a thin build, a receding hairline and to wear glasses.

His vehicle is described as a 1999 to 2003 black Volkswagen Jetta with black rims.

Lightfoot said two other people who accompanied the driver at Target are also wanted in connection with the burglary.

One is described as a Latino man, 50 to 60 years old, around 5 feet 6. Lightfoot said he has a shaved head, mustache and possible tattoos on his hands.

The other suspect is said to be a Latina woman, between 27 to 35 years old with dark hair and an average build.
