Yasmin Beers named state Senate district Woman of the Year

Yasmin Beers, the new city manager for the city of Glendale, was honored as Woman of the Year for the 25th District of the state Senate recently.

State Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge) presented the honor to Beers in Sacramento.

“It is such an honor to be able to recognize Yasmin Beers as the 2018 Woman of the Year. She is an outstanding administrator, citizen and leader, and I want to thank her for all the work she has done for our great community,” Portantino said in a statement.

“It has been my pleasure to serve the Glendale community for the past 31 years. Glendale is not only the community that I serve, it is also my home,” Beers said in a statement.
