Four teens were arrested this past Saturday after police allegedly found them in possession of burglary tools, authorities say.

Sometime around 1 a.m., an officer with the Glendale Police Department stopped a vehicle near Colorado and Kenwood streets for having illegally tinted windows.

The four had told the officer they were from Los Angeles and were on their way to a party in Glendale, according to the department. But the youths could not tell the officer where the party was being held.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and, according to police, the officer found bolt cutters, a hammer, a change of clothes, gloves and hooded sweatshirts. Clothes with security tags still attached were also found.

Police said one of the car’s occupants admitted to using the items to commit thefts with another passenger. All four were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

It was later discovered that two of the youths gave fake names. One of the four also had a history of burglary-related arrests, according to police.
