Police are looking for two men — and their getaway driver — who robbed a Glendale pharmacy at gunpoint on Saturday, making off with currency and Oxycontin before robbing another pharmacy in a nearby city.

Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the duo entered a pharmacy on the 100 block of West California Avenue, and with their guns drawn, demanded cash and the prescription pain medication from two workers, said Glendale Police Sgt. Robert William.

They ordered the one customer inside the pharmacy to stay quiet.

The pair threw the drugs in a briefcase before they fled, jumping into the passenger seats of a silver or gray Lexus waiting outside. Nobody was injured.

About a half hour later, a similar robbery was reported at a San Fernando pharmacy, William said.

Both suspects were described as 6 feet tall in their 20s, and wore hooded sweatshirts. One was described as white with blonde, curly hair and blue eyes, and the other was described as black, William said.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Glendale police at (818) 548-4911.
