Letter: Shred your papers on ‘Shredding Day’

Share

“Shredding Day,” an annual event sponsored by Northwest Glendale Homeowners Assn., will be Saturday, Oct.17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is available to all residents who want to destroy personal and financial documents while watching them chopped to smithereens.

A shredding truck will be in the parking lot of New Life Christian Church,1020 W. Kenneth Road, located just east of Grandview.

Members of the homeowners’ association can have three boxes full of documents shredded free. After that, it is $3 per box. Residents in the Northwest Glendale area who join that day also receive this benefit. For all others, it is $4 a box. Maximum box size is 12” by 15”.

This event was first suggested by a NWGHA board member three years ago as a one-time occurrence but it turned out to be so popular that it now takes place once a year.
