Letter: Speed bumps are only way to keep us safe

It has become apparent that after several years of riding at the top of the nation’s worst drivers that we consider speed bumps for many of our residential streets. There are way too many people here in Glendale who just don’t possess the ability to offer any consideration for their neighbors or the neighborhoods they live in. Their immaturity and lack of any sense of community is on display on almost any given day here in Glendale.

With the lame enforcement efforts and time wasted talking about it, it’s time the city made the same decision that other cities have already made: speed bumps work and they are even being installed on streets with steep grades. It appears to be the only way to keep us safe.

It’s time we stopped the insanity and insist that the city invest in speed bumps.
