Letter: Sticking it to the retired city workers

What a wonderful idea, Glendale City Council, to save money by sticking it to the city retired employees by suspending the promised health care contribution. After all, most are old and weak and won’t put up much fight.

The money thus saved can be spent on grandiose and harebrained ideas such as studies and consultants and time for hearings to build a park over the 134 Freeway (since all the land in South Glendale where parks are needed has been graciously made available to “developers” to do their thing), and of course to give raises of the city’s top management.

And on to bigger and better things.
