Letters to the Editor: Holiday Trolley applauded by reader who hopes the service might be extended

Share

How disappointing not to have a Glendale News-Press reporter along for the inaugural ride of the Holiday Trolley.

And a special thank you for the Glendale City Council for appropriating funds for this opportunity, so appreciated by families and senior citizens living above the 134 Freeway. It’s a way to get to shops, banking and medical buildings in downtown Glendale without expensive transportation or parking woes, and to be transported to churches and medical buildings north of the freeway from lower Glendale.

But hurry, because, like Cinderella, this free trolley disappears on Jan. 15. So pass the word to your friends and neighbors, take the kids for a ride, experience Glendale Arts, the Central Library, the Adult Recreation Center and more!

Oh, and let the City Council know you appreciate this. Maybe it can continue past the holidays.
