Glendale PTA: Library to present parent workshop

“Thriving with Your Teen,” a free parent workshop held by the Glendale Unified School District, will be presented at 6 p.m. today in the Library Connection at Adams Square, 1100 E. Chevy Chase Drive. Seating is limited. Call (818) 548-3833 to pre-register.

Glendale High School

Glendale High’s PTSA will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the school’s library. The PTSA also helps with Senior Awards Night in the John Wayne Performing Arts Center at 6:30 p.m. on May 18.

Getting ready for the last dance of the school year — senior prom on May 21.

Graduation rehearsal for seniors is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. in the John Wayne Performing Arts Center on May 31.

Wilson Middle School

Wilson’s PTSA will hold a meeting and installation of officers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the staff lounge.

Promotion for Wilson eighth-graders will be at 9:30 a.m. on June 1. To celebrate, a promotion dance will be held later that day from 6 to 8:45 p.m. in the school’s gym.

John Marshall Elementary School

The school will present a student orchestra concert at 6 p.m. today.

R.D. White Elementary School

An awards event is scheduled from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. on May 27.

R.D. White will host its fifth-grade promotion ceremony at 10 a.m. on May 31 in the school’s auditorium.

Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School

The school’s PTA board will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

With the school year quickly moving toward a close, parents can get a final peek at their students’ work during an open house at 6 p.m. on May 19.

There will be a PTA meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 24.

A sixth-grade promotion dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on May 31.
