Nina Dudenhoeffer<br/>December 25, 1928 - October 27, 2014

Nina Dudenhoeffer, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in San Luis Obispo, CA following a brief illness.

Born to Charles & Mabel Fincham on Christmas Day 1928 in Gilbert Iowa. Nina grew up, the youngest of five children on the family farm in Gilbert and graduated from Iowa State University in 1950 with a degree in Dietetics. Shortly thereafter Nina met her soon to be husband, Frank Dudenhoeffer, while working at Cincinnati General Hospital. They married in 1952 and moved to Hawaii for a couple of years before settling in La Canada. In addition to raising her family Nina’s joy of life and energy was to be very active in the Flintridge Guild of Children’s Hospital along with her business “Nina’s Bag” to which she was very devoted. Upon retiring in 2003 Nina moved to Fallbrook, CA. where she continued her favorite pastime of gardening and landscaping.

Nina is survived by her children Ann (Jay) Wellford of San Luis Obispo, CA; John “Jack” (Peggy) Dudenhoeffer of Fallbrook, CA; Mary Jane (William) Kelly of Windsor CA; Tom Dudenhoeffer and Vicki Gordon of Napa; Susan (Steve) Vargas of Healdsburg; Greg (Cari) Malver of Telluride, CO; Anne Malver (Jim) Fuller of Ashford, WA; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Mildred “Millie” (Willis) Ragland of Tucson Arizona, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Nina was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother, her husband Frank E Dudenhoeffer and daughter in law, Linda Dudenhoeffer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 10am at San Fernando Mission, 15151 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
