Khashakyan, Sargsyan return to cage at Fight Night at Sportsmen’s Lodge 4

Glendale Fighting Club’s Alfred Khashakyan and Levon Sargsyan will return to the familiar battleground of Fight Night at Sportsmen’s Lodge 4 on Friday night.

The locals will take part in separate bouts as part of Friday’s Lights Out Promotions’, Bash Boxing’s and In Sync Promotions’ mixed martial arts card Friday night at 7 p.m. at theSportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City.

Khashakyan (5-1) is riding a five-fight winning streak with five knockouts into his bout against Juan Archuletta (3-1). Khashakyan, a former kickboxer, has earned his last two wins at Fight Night events.

Sargsyan (2-3), who has fought on three Fight Night cards, is set to take on late replacement David Suruy (1-1).

Other Glendale fighters scheduled to compete are Main Event Gym’s Tigran Martirosyan (3-1 as an amateur) and David Yeghiazaryan (3-0 as an amateur), as well as GFC’s Leon Shahbazian (3-1 as an amateur).

A middleweight main event is on tap featuring crowd pleaser and former Ultimate Fighting Championships combatant Eddie Mendez (7-3-1) taking on former Bellator battler Curtis Millender (8-2).

Another anticipated bout will be Southern California favorite Thor Skancke (7-5) taking on Nick Vanderpool (4-0).

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with first bout scheduled for 7 p.m. All bouts are subject to change.
Weigh-ins are set for 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Sportsmen’s Lodge.
