Jared Little was named the new head coach of the St. Francis High lacrosse team Friday, replacing Geoff Watson.

Little played at the University of Virginia and helped the Cavaliers win NCAA championships in 2003 and 2006.

Little previously coached at Chaminade from 2010-2012.

“We are thrilled to have Jared joining us St. Francis,” St. Francis athletic director Matt Luderer stated in a press release. “His lacrosse background is impressive, but it’s his approach to athletics and character development that sets him apart.”

St. Francis finished last season, its fourth, at 9-9 and made its first postseason appearance, losing in the first round of the United States Lacrosse Southern Section Los Angeles Division I playoffs to Loyola.
