“It’s real cool when you can have quite a few players get an honor like that,” said Buxman, whose team finished 21-8, 5-2 in league. “We had individual and team success and you could see them putting in the work every day.

“It’s definitely a special group of players we had and they all made the program better.”

Leading the Tologs throughout the season was their trio of senior guards.

Jenna Tran, Casey Johnson and Kelly Fradet paved the way for the Tologs, earning all-league first-team nods. The trio helped Flintridge Sacred Heart post playoff victories against Adelanto and Foothill Technology. The Tologs fell to second-seeded Rosary Academy on the road in the quarterfinals.

Tran, a senior guard, averaged a team-best 15.9 points per game. Tran also collected 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game in providing the Tologs with a strong presence. She finished her career with 1,487 points.

“Jenna has been passionate about the game for all four years we’ve had here,” Buxman said. “It’s the third straight year she’s gotten all-league recognition and she’s always interested in finding ways to get better.”

Johnson, a senior guard, registered 10.3 points, 1.8 steals and 1.6 assists per contest. Johnson registered 1,084 career points.

“Casey turned out to be our smoothest shooter,” Buxman said. “She went over 1,000 points in her career late in the year and she let the game come to her.”

Fradet, a senior guard, provided the Tologs with a lot of energy at both ends of the court. She contributed 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.2 assists per game.

“Kelly was a bulldog on defense and had that endless energy,” Buxman said. “I think she’s one of the top players in our division because she can shoot three-pointers well and can make the big plays on defense.”

Camilla Homans of Flintridge Sacred Heart earned a spot on the second team. The junior forward averaged 6.1 points and eight rebounds per game.

Flintridge Sacred Heart’s Mary Laurance and Jessica Wirthlin received honorable mention.

Laurance, a senior forward, collected 5.5 rebounds per game. Wirthlin, a senior forward, averaged 4.4 rebounds per contest.

Michaela Keefe was named the league’s most valuable player after helping Marymount win the league championship.
