Sports Roundup: Crescenta Valley, Glendale volleyball net league wins

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Crescenta Valley 3, Burbank 1: The Falcons kept pace in the Pacific League title chase with a 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 25-14 victory at home Friday.

With the win, Crescenta Valley improved to 17-3-2 and 6-1 in league before heading into Tuesday’s league showdown with reigning champion Burroughs.

Glendale 3, Hoover 0: Glendale registered a 25-23, 25-17, 25-15 Pacific League road win Friday. The Nitros are 6-10, 2-5 in league. Hoover is 2-7, 0-7.

GIRLS’ LACROSSE

Crescenta Valley 11, West Ranch 7: Host Crescenta Valley notched a Pacific League win Friday. The Falcons improved to 12-4, 3-0 in league.

The Falcons (12-4, 3-0 in league) got 11 saves from goalkeeper Sabrina White, three goals from Abby Sheklow and two goals each from Lexi Ballard and Leah Crowther.

BASEBALL

Arcadia 5, Glendale 0: The Nitros dropped a Pacific League home game Friday. Glendale fell to 1-16-1, 0-8 in league.
