GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Glendale 55, Muir 10: The Nitros moved into a first-place tie in the Pacific League with a road victory on Tuesday coupled with a Crescenta Valley loss.

Lilia Vasghanian hit six of eight three-pointers and tallied a team-high 20 points to lead Glendale (15-7, 7-1). Jillian Yanai finished with 12 points and six assists.

Glendale Adventist Academy 43, de Toledo 6: The Cougars picked up their first Independence League victory of the season at home on Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, GAA improved to 2-7 and 1-4 in league.

Burbank 56, Hoover 20: The Torndoes lost a Pacific League road game Tuesday afternoon.

Hoover dropped to 1-16, 0-8.

Chaminade 93, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 14: The Tologs suffered a Mission League road defeat Tuesday and are 2-15, 0-4 in league.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Burbank 56, Hoover 39: The Tornadoes remained winless within the Pacific League after a home defeat on Tuesday afternoon.

With the defeat, Hoover dropped to 4-17 and 0-8 in league.

Muir 79, Glendale 73: The Nitros put up a fight, but dropped a Pacific League road game on Tuesday afternoon.

Eli Degrate led the Nitros (15-6, 3-5) with a team-high 33 points.

de Toledo 68, Glendale Adventist Academy 45: The Cougars lost an Independence League game on Tuesday to fall to 4-11 and 0-7.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Flintridge Prep 10, Firebaugh 0: Flintridge Prep cruised to a Prep League home victory Tuesday. The Rebels (14-4-2, 5-0 in league) got three goals apiece from Julia Gonzalez and Makenna Dominguez.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Crescenta Valley 6, Burbank 0: The Falcons avenged a Pacific League-opening tie with a convincing 6-0 road victory on Tuesday afternoon.

Ayden Blackwood, Kyle Quesada, Elias Ayranjian, Talon Carvalho, Matteo Merloni and Chris Sanfilippo scored goals for Crescenta Valley, which remains in first place with a 13-4-2 and 8-0-1 record.

Glendale 2, Arcadia 0: After picking up their first Pacific League victory of the season on Friday, the Nitros earned another league triumph Tuesday afternoon.

Glendale’s record is now 5-5-3 and 2-4-3.

Flintridge Prep 1, Firebaugh 0: Flintridge Prep posted a Prep League road win Tuesday at Lynwood High. The Rebels are 7-5-2, 2-0 in league.

Muir 2, Hoover 0: The Tornadoes are in a tailspin after allowing a second straight Pacific League team to pick up its first league victory on Tuesday afternoon.

With the loss, Hoover dropped to 3-9-3 and 2-5-2 in league.
