Sports Roundup: Crescenta Valley, Hoover, Flintridge Prep boys’ soccer collect wins

Crescenta Valley 2, Saugus 0: Host Crescenta Valley (2-0) pick up a pool-play win Thursday in the Ralph Brandt Tournament. Dallas Kaauwai and Jonny Han scored goals for the Falcons.
Hoover 3, El Camino Real 2: Hoover picked up a home victory Thursday in a pool-play game of the Ralph Brandt Tournament
Flintridge Prep 6, McAuliffe 0: Garrett Gaines had three goals and Nick Klatsky added two on Thursday to propel the host Rebels in a season-opening nonleague match.
Buddy Palmer also scored a goal for Flintridge Prep, which received six saves from goalkeepet Aidan Schrader.
St. Francis 2, North Hollywood 2: The host Golden Knights (1-0-1) tied in a pool-play match of the Brandt Tournament on Thursday.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 3, Flintridge Sacred Heart 1: The Tologs suffered their first loss of the season on the road Thursday in nonleague play. Flintridge Sacred Heart dropped to 1-1.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Crescenta Valley 46, Thousand Oaks 28: Rachel Dayag and Senayt Tassew had 11 points apiece for the Falcons (3-0) on Thursday in a pool-play game of the Falcon Tip-Off Classic.
The Falcons will play in the tournament final against Granada Hills on Friday at 7:45 p.m.
Knight 40, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 38: The Tologs (0-4) fell Thursday in a pool-play contest of the Falcon Tip-Off Classic at Crescenta Valley High. Camilla Homans finished with 15 points.
Pasadena Poly 59, Hoover 24: The Tornadoes (0-2) dropped their second contest of the Rosemead Tournament on Thursday. Khiara Almenderas had 11 points for Hoover.
Westridge 57, St. Monica Academy 27: The Crusadsers fell Thursday in a pool-play game of the San Marino Tournament.
