Sports Roundup: Crescenta Valley’s Codding wins league championship

Crescenta Valley in Pacific League finals: Crescenta Valley’s Claire Codding captured a league title in the high jump with a mark of 4 feet 9 inches on Thursday at Arcadia High.

Originally scheduled for Friday, the league’s field finals were moved to Thursday due to the forecast for rain on Friday.

BOYS’ GOLF

St. Francis in Mission League individual finals: Tommy Altmayer of St. Francis had an eight-over-par 80 on Thursday to finish ninth at Brookside Golf Course No. 1 in Pasadena.

Altmayer finished with a two-round total of 160 to advance to the CIF Southern Section Individual Tournament, which will be held at 8 a.m. Monday at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo. The top nine finishers from Thursday’s event qualified. Altmayer entered Thursday’s round in eighth.

St. Francis’ Stian Linvedt had an 80 to finish 10th at 161.

SOFTBALL

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 13, Pasadena Poly 4: The visiting Tologs picked up a nonleague win Thursday. Flintridge Sacred Heart improved to 13-6-1.

Burroughs 18, Hoover 0 (five innings): Hoover dropped a Pacific League road contest Thursday at Oliva Park. The Tornadoes are 5-13, 2-10 in league.

Ramona Convent 12, Holy Family 1: Holy Family suffered an Horizon League defeat Thursday. The Gaels dipped to 2-12, 1-9 in league.
