A 65-year-old man sitting on the patio jumped out of the way of the Dodge Stratus, which hit the Starbucks at 1703 W. Glenoaks Blvd. at about 1:20 p.m.

The man suffered a small cut on his head and another man who tried to help the driver cut his head on glass, police reported. All injuries were characterized as being minor.

The driver, whose identity was not immediately available, declined medical treatment, according to police.

The Starbucks was closed after the incident.
