A 39-year-old woman reported Saturday that a motorist exposed his penis to her while in a South Glendale intersection, police said.

The woman was walking her dog about 1:30 p.m. on Hawthorne Street, near South Pacific Avenue, where a man in a minivan called out to her, stopped in the intersection and asked her to approach for help, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.

When she approached she noticed he was exposing his penis.

Soon after, he drove off on Pacific Avenue and out of sight, Lorenz said.

Police searched the area for the man, but were unable to find him.

She described the man as white or Middle Eastern, with a thin build and as being between 20 and 30 years old with black hair, Lorenz said.

He was driving an older-model minivan with rust, police said.

Anyone with details about the incident is asked to call the Glendale Police Department at (818) 548-3106.
