Hundreds ride from Harley Davidson of Glendale to skid row for toy drive

Hundreds of Harley-Davidson motorcycle riders packed the streets of skid row in downtown Los Angeles Sunday afternoon for a toy drive at the Fred Jordan Mission, delivering Christmas presents to underprivileged children from around the area.

The parade, which began at the Harley Davidson of Glendale dealership, featured riders from throughout the region. Some dressed as Santa Claus while others decorated their bikes as reindeer sleighs.

“What a wonderful day!” said Willie Jordan, the mission’s president. “Harley-Davidson, they are the best. They came from all over Southern California, and every bike was loaded with toys.”

Jordan described the event as “a great, festive street party,” with tables set up along three full blocks where children could pick out their gifts.
