DUI crackdown in Glendale area leads to seven arrests

Police arrested seven motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol Saturday during a multiple-agency saturation patrol, officials said.

Officers from Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, South Pasadena and San Fernando police departments patrolled the region from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. in as part of a larger DUI crackdown known as the “Avoid the 100” campaign.

The patrol resulted in 83 vehicles being stopped, 27 field sobriety tests and four vehicles being impounded, police said.

Of the seven motorists arrested for DUI, police said four were drunk drivers and three had used drugs.

Five motorists were also arrested on suspicion of driver’s license violations.
