A Laguna Beach man suspected of burglarizing Laguna Niguel homes is back in custody.

Cameron Bilbrey, 18, was arrested Nov. 8 after additional charges were filed with the Orange County district attorney’s office, according to court records.

He had posted bail on Nov. 6 after being arrested on suspicion of burglarizing homes in a neighborhood for the second time.

Bilbrey’s arraignment was continued from Tuesday to Nov. 27. He’ll also have a pretrial hearing that day for another case involving burglary charges.

He’s facing three felony counts of first-degree burglary, three felony counts of attempted burglary and one misdemeanor count of petty theft in one case, according to court records.

In another case filed with the district attorney, he has one felony count of burglary, to which he pleaded not guilty Nov. 5.

Bilbrey was arrested Nov. 3 after burglarizing a home in the 24200 block of Rue De Cezanne, Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies said.

The victim was able to catch a glimpse of the suspect and provide a description, which led deputies to Bilbrey. Deputies said they found Bilbrey in his vehicle with stolen items that belonged to the victim.

The home was only a street away from homes he burglarized last month, deputies said. On Oct. 18, Bilbrey allegedly sneaked into four homes and stole items while the occupants were inside.

Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said residents had originally attributed the noise in the night to the high winds. A victim got up to check and realized a burglary took place.

Bilbrey is being held on $150,000 bail, according to Farrah Emami, a spokeswoman in the district attorney’s office.
