A 28-year-old Glendale man was stabbed in the stomach Saturday night after a group of men attacked him on Ivy Street, police said.

Police arrived about 9:22 p.m. to the 400 block of Ivy Street after they received reports of a fight in the area. No one was brawling when officers arrived, but a witness told police that a man involved in the fight had a shaved head.
Moments later, an officer spotted the man walking south toward a carport on Ivy and called out for him.
When the man turned, the officer spotted blood on his hands and a large blood stain on his pants and shirt. The officer could also smell a strong odor of alcohol on the man, according to police reports.
He told police he was in the neighborhood to visit a friend when five men suddenly attacked him and then ran east on Ivy toward Columbus Avenue.
The man didn’t remember details about the men or the attack. He told police he later walked to an apartment building and hung out on a second-floor balcony.
He told police he wasn’t injured and didn’t need medical treatment, and officers didn’t find anyone who was involved in a fight.
