Stressing the need for campus security

As a Glendale Community College student, I can not be quiet anymore, and I feel this is my responsibility to write about the importance of the police department on campus in GCC. We can ask ourselves, “Why do the large buildings in Glendale have their own security?” This is because people need to feel safe having their own security on scene to take quick action when problems come up.

I always take classes at night, and I really feel safe when I am walking on the dark bridge on north Verdugo Road and Cañada Boulevard or even in the parking lots because I know there is a large presence of police on campus. Thus, the campus police department is necessary at GCC and all other campuses in the U.S.
