Glad the Kardashian idea went away

I am very pleased that our councilman came to his senses and withdrew the suggestion to put Kim Kardashian on the city’s float.

We have so many devoted people in this community that do their best helping as much as they can, without asking for any pay, to keep this city proud. I know sex sells, but morals can’t be bought or sold.

It is better for our council to go after serious businesses (not retailers) and bring them back to this great city. Give them some breaks so our young generation can start to work and have a future and, in the long run, be useful for the city. Most members of the new generation weren’t fed by silver spoons.
