Armed, masked men reportedly held up Glendale Citibank
Two masked men got away with an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday morning after holding up a Citibank at gunpoint, police said.
At 9:36 a.m., the gun-wielding men, who wore ski masks and hooded sweatshirts, entered the bank in the 400 block of North Central Avenue and made off with cash from the bank tellers, according to Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
The men were last seen exiting the bank and entered a gold or “champagne”-colored new Nissan Versa.
The same Citibank was robbed on June 9, 2011.
At that time, a robber entered the bank about 10:55 a.m., simulated a weapon from inside his coat pocket and handed a bank teller a note, saying that he “was going to rob the bank,” police said.
The teller complied with his demands and he fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
