A second-alarm brush fire broke out Wednesday shortly before 5 p.m. in Chevy Chase Canyon in Glendale, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 4:50 p.m. at Linda Vista Road and Figueroa Street, and was limited to brush, said Glendale Fire Department spokesperson Brandy Villanueva.

The 1 to 2-acre fire was 65% contained before 6 p.m., Villanueva said.

The city of Glendale reported that forward movement had stopped.

“No structures threatened, no injuries reported and no evacuations at this time,” Villaneuva said.
