Car fire briefly shuts down Harvey Drive onramp

A car fire briefly shut down the Harvey Drive onramp of the westbound Ventura (134) freeway Monday morning.

The incident was reported to the California Highway Patrol just after 8:30 a.m. A crew from the Glendale Fire Department was dispatched to the scene, and was able to quickly extinguish the fire. Spokesperson Brandy Villanueva said the fire was confined to the engine compartment.

No injuries were reported.

The onramp lane was re-opened before 9 a.m.
