The left-hander tossed his first complete game of the season Saturday, striking out six and scattering four hits to help propel host Irvine to a 4-0 nonconference win against Grand Canyon University. It marked the first career shutout for Surrey, a former All-Area first-team honoree.

Sarkissian and teammate Francis Alcantara were selected as the conference’s doubles team of the week. Sarkissian has also been named the conference’s top singles player of the week twice this season.

Pepperdine had a three-match home series that included a contest against top-ranked Oklahoma on March 19. Sarkissian and Alcantara teamed up for an 8-5 victory against Dane Webb and Andrew Harris.

The tandem then registered an 8-4 victory against James Tallman and Germain Bahri of the University of San Francisco on March 21.
