Crescenta Valley High’s Goorjian to be inducted into CIF Hall of Fame

Former Crescenta Valley High boys’ basketball Coach Ed Goorjian will be inducted into the CIF Southern Section Hall of Fame at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 14 at the Grand Conference Center in Long Beach.

Goorjian went 328-103 while piloting the Falcons from 1962-78. He led the Falcons to seven league championships and a trip to the Division 4-A title contest in 1971.

Goorjian was a two-time National Coach of the Year (1977-78) at Crescenta Valley before moving on to Glendale Community College for one season.
