Dolores Elaine Binda May 5, 1947 - February 1, 2013

Dolores Elaine Binda was granted her angel wings on February 1, 2013. Her final days were
spent surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Burbank, California. She was
born on May 5, 1947 in La Crescenta, California to James and Dorothy Simons. Her father was a flight mechanic and served in the military in World War II. Dorothy was a caregiver, devoted servant to the Lord, and loving mother.

Dolores met Lucien Marc Binda in 1966 in Burbank, California and they were married in 1967.
They settled in Burbank and had two children, Tina and Marc. Dolores worked for several years
as a preschool teacher in order to be with her children and also worked for many years as a legal secretary. Her husband Louie, worked for the federal government and has spent numerous years coaching baseball and soccer for his children and other at John Burroughs High School in Burbank.

Dolores touched all those that were around her, especially those involved with her church. She
was an extremely devoted Christian. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She had a passion for life and her smile was contagious.

Dolores was an active member at Lighthouse at Magnolia Park Magnolia Park United Methodist
Church for over 45 years. She was active in the church choir and enjoyed singing and music,
especially jazz. She enjoyed watching baseball, going to jazz concerts with her friends and
family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Dolores is survived by her brother, Jim Simons, her husband, Lucien Binda, her two children, Tina and Marc, and grandchildren, Jace, Megan, Carlo and Emilio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. Dolores and her mother were
cancer survivors. Dolores donated to so many charities as her nature was to help those in need.
