Earthquake of 4.1 magnitude shakes the Southland

A shallow magnitude 4.1 earthquake was reported Saturday afternoon one mile from Rowland Heights, the Los Angeles Times reports, downgraded from the initial report of a 4.4-magnitude quake. The temblor occurred at 2:32 p.m. at a depth of 5.6 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

In the past 10 days, there have been six earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.

Though some damage was reported throughout the Southland, there were no impacts reported in the Glendale, Burbank or Crescenta Valley areas following Friday night’s 5.1 earthquake, according to local police and sheriff stations.
