Ed Noll, fire department medical director and area physician, dies at 62

Edmond “Ed” C. Noll, EMS medical director for the Glendale Fire Department, passed away on Saturday after a year-long bout with cancer. He was 62.

Noll was an emergency-room physician at several hospitals including Glendale Memorial Hospital, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital.

He died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family.

In addition to being a double board-certified emergency room physician, he taught medicine from 1986 until this year at the USC School of Medicine, where he was a clinical associate professor.

No public service is planned. His family asks that no flowers be sent, but people who knew Noll may send stories about him to his family at EdNoll@aol.com.
