Three people were arrested during a DUI checkpoint Saturday night, while 12 people were taken into custody for driving without a license, police said.
The checkpoint was set up at Colorado Street and Kenilworth Avenue between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.
Of the more than 1,100 cars that were stopped and screened at the intersection, one motorist was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol and two more were arrested on suspicion of being behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs, police said.
A dozen people were arrested for allegedly driving without a license.
A similar checkpoint in April led to the arrest of seven alleged DUI drivers.
Glendale’s DUI checkpoints are set up at locations with the most frequent occurrences of DUI collisions and arrests.
