Glendale Fight Night on Saturday

Just less than a year removed from the last time boxing came to the Jewel City, Glendale Fight Night will bring the Sweet Science back to town on Saturday night at the Glendale Civic Auditorium.

With a night scheduled for 10 bouts, the promotional trio of Art of Boxing, Bash Boxing and Top Rank will present Glendale Fight Night, with first bell set for 5:45 p.m.

The eight-round super featherweight main event will feature Jose Felix, Jr. (26-1-1, 21 knockouts) toeing the line with Alejandro Rodriguez (21-14, 12 KOs). The co-main event will be an eight-round lightweight tilt between Stan Martyniouk (13-1, two KOs) and undefeated Ivan Najera (13-0, eight Kos). The co-main will kick off the televised portion of the event, seen on Unimas.

Other matches scheduled for the night are cruiserweights Harvey Jolly (15-19-1, seven KOs) and Alex Zubov (4-0, four KOs) opening the card with a six-rounder, a six-round welterweight scrap between Liam Vaughn (8-2, two KOs) and Saul Benitez (3-5-1), an intriguing six-round bout between undefeated welterweights Benjamin Whitaker (7-0, two KOs) and Egidijus Kavaliauskas (6-0, five KOs), an eight-round super lightweight fight with Adrian Garza (8-3, six KOs) challenging Jose Zepeda (20-0, 17 KOs), Malcolm Terry (6-3, six KOs) facing Esquiva Falcao (3-0, one KO) in a middleweight matchup, a four-round super bantamweight affair between Edgar Valerio (3-0, two KOs) and Adrian Rodriguez (0-1-1), a four-round lightweight matchup of Luis Diaz (1-0) and Luis Sedano (2-0, one KO) and a six-round super lightweight fight with Zach Wohlman (8-1-1, one KO) facing Paul Velarde (3-4-3).
