Glendale police plan to clampdown on drugged and drunk driving Friday after netting two arrests for driving under the influence last weekend.

From 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., the Police Department’s DUI Enforcement Team plans to heavily patrol neighborhoods with frequent drunk or drug-driving related collisions and arrests.

Police arrested two motorists last Saturday for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs during a sobriety checkpoint at Glenoaks Boulevard and Spazier Avenue.

They also made two arrests, one for driver’s license violations and another for drugs possession at the checkpoint.
