Share

Three motorists were arrested Monday during a St. Patrick’s Day police operation aimed at stopping those driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Officers from Glendale, Burbank, San Fernando, San Marino and South Pasadena police departments heavily patrolled areas with the highest number of past DUI collisions and arrests during the operation.

They arrested a driver for alleged drunk driving and another motorist for reportedly being under the influence of drugs, according to Glendale police.

A third driver was reportedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol, police said.

Police stopped 83 vehicles and conducted 16 field sobriety tests during the operation, which was part of the countywide anti-DUI campaign known as “Avoid the 100.”

Three motorists were also arrested in connection with driver’s license violations.
