A 25-year-old man believed to be a transient was arrested Monday for allegedly exposing himself at a Vons grocery store, police said.

Robert Tucker was arrested after allegedly touching himself through his shorts while lying on top of a display case of water bottles just outside the Vons at 3233 Foothill Blvd., said Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

Police were called to the scene at 10 a.m. A store employee who had told Tucker to leave described him as wearing blue sport shorts and a long-sleeve black shirt, Lorenz said.

The employee said Tucker left the store, heading westbound.

Police drove in that direction and spotted Tucker, who matched the description, entering a Dollar King Store at 3427 Foothill Blvd., Lorenz said.

He was barefoot and had dried blood on his forehead, he added.

Tucker was taken into custody on suspicion of performing lewd and lascivious acts, and is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
