An 18-year-old Los Angeles man was charged Wednesday after allegedly peeping through apartment windows and doors with his genitals exposed, officials said.

Kevin Alvarado faces one count of indecent exposure in connection with Monday’s incident, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Police initially contacted Alvarado at 2:01 a.m. in the 1200 block of East California Avenue after a 51-year-old Glendale woman told officers he had approached her and she sensed something wasn’t right.

Alvarado reportedly told police his friends dropped him off in the area because he was planning to meet a girl he had connected with online and had just approached the woman to ask for directions.

Alvarado told police he then realized the address the girl provided was incorrect, adding that he wouldn’t bother any other neighbors as he waited for the girl’s response. That’s when police left the scene.

But about 20 minutes later, they received another call from the same woman, who saw Alvarado allegedly

walking around the neighborhood while touching his exposed genitals with one hand and sticking his fingers inside his mouth with the other hand, police said.

Alvarado eventually stopped, rested in bushes along the woman’s home, peered at his cell phone and allegedly began masturbating, police said.

Soon after, police arrived and reportedly caught Alvarado exposing his genitals. He allegedly told them he had urinated and didn’t realize he was still exposed.

Police reported finding pornography on his cell phone, Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
